Mike Connelly -
MIKE'S MAILBAG
Dear Mike: A friend of mine bet me $50 that Sabrina, the English actress, has larger measurements than Jayne Mansfield. To settle it, we wrote to both actresses. Jayne wrote back that her measurements are: Bust: 41 inches; waist: 20 inches; hips: 35 inches.
Sabrina wrote back that hers are 4l½-18-36. Our letters to the actresses were identical. Neither mentioned a bet of any kind or gave any evidence that one was competing with the other. On the strength of these letters, I lost $50.
I wrote to Jayne about this matter. She wrote back that she personally feels that Sabrina is not as large as Sabrina claims, and I agree with Jayne. I want your unbiased opinion on the comparisons and I am writing to you at Jayne's suggestion. Bob Jensen; Atlanta, Ga. (CC: Jayne Mansfield).
Dear Bob: My unbiased opinion is that you should chalk up the loss up to experience, lay off your studies in female anatomy for a while and start studying female psychology.

SABRINA - the croupier stopped
I WAS sitting quietly at a gambling-table in Las Vegas one night — or rather morning — when someone moved into the stool beside me and halted the croupier raking in the chips.
I turned and saw Sabrina.
Later I asked her if she was contemplating a return to her native country, Britain. "Maybe sometime," she said. "But I want to start afresh, to rebuild my image, to stop just being known for my bosom."
I'd say, dear Sabrina, that before you can start rebuilding that image of yours, there's a rather more complicated piece of reconstruction you'll have to do elsewhere...

17 March 1963 - Back to England
Sabrina, away from England for 4 years, shows she has lost none of her charm. She is pictured at her London Hotel soon after flying in from Los Angeles to appear next Sunday with comedian Arthur Askey in a TV show at the London Palladium. It was with Arthur Askey that Sabrina became famous - without saying a word. She just walked on stage in his TV Show. Her figure spoke for her.

Among the Luggage
THE return of sexy actresses to this country is a rigid ritual that never changes. The arrival of Sabrina from the United States on Sunday evening was delightfully true to form.
The famous figure is 42-17-36. This Sabrina has arrived from Los Angeles with half a ton of luggage and a dark, handsome manager. "There's no romance," she said.
Perfect.

"You know," she said... "when I finally do go back to London. I'm going back big. You know? I'll make those people who laughed at me laugh on the other sides of their faces.
"For a long time I didn't know what It was I wanted. Now I know.
"I wanted respect. Just a little respect. It goes a long way. It was the one thing I was short on, I guess. Respect."
A mature Sabrina contemplates her past, future and minks.

20 March 1963
Remember that darling of delight, that gal with the mostest in the right places - Sabrina? Well, after triumphs in America she is returning home, to appear with Arthur Askey in a late March"Sunday Night at the London Paladium" show. It was Arthur Askey, the Liverpool comic, who first treated us to an exciting view of Sabrina, and we sure are grateful for his generosity. After all, he's not known as big hearted for nothing! Come to think of it, she's pretty big hearted herself! She was once famous as Norma Sykes of Manchester, a model.

Arthur and Sabrina... TOGETHER AGAIN
Britain's most shapely export, Sabrina — home this week after a four-year world tour — stars in tomorrow night's Palladium Show (ITV 8.25) with comedian Arthur Askey, who made her famous as a dumb blonde in his TV series.
Sabrina, the 26-year-old blonde with the 42-inch bust, says: "I went away a gimmick, and I've returned as a song, dance and comedy act."
Arthur should have starred at the Palladium a fortnight ago. but he delayed his appearance so that Sabrina could be in the show with him.
Another article (Winnipeg Free Press, 11 April, p.29) reported that she arrived in a £10,000 mink coat and said "I've been homesick... I went away to prove I have talent... I think I achieved this."

Sabrina, of the large statistics,
is back in her native England after five years of roaming the
world, mostly Hollywood. She told them in London that she was a big hit in South America, although they did not understand a word of what she was saying. With Sabrina's measurements, who needs words?

SABRINA said: Now I don't mind going to see Gregory Peck's pictures but I'm not crazy about losing money on his old horse.
I'll back it if it starts favourite. Once I picked eight winners out of 10 in New York. And a girl like me just doesn't toss cash around on any old nag.
