At 11.06 precisely on Friday night Sabrina was Twisting with verve
and elan at LEE GORDON'S establishment when her dress gave a
screech of despair, and split (down the back) from stem to stern. A
series of hurried dashes into a coat, into a taxi, into her hotel,
and into another dress had her back Twisting within the half-hour. (Telegraph)

in Sydney, Australia, before January 1, 1962, to promote through publicity

She accepted King's radio-telephone proposal to her in Sydney last week. She will continue to work after her marriage.
This will be Sabrina's first and King's second marriage.
Sabrina, who is twenty-three, said: "I know our marriage will last, because this is definitely the real thing."

15 March 1962 - Tharunka (Sydney University student news) - Page 1
It is rumoured that yet a third case of censorship occurred during Orientation Week.
People are asking. "What happened to Sabrina?"
Is it possible that this forward young lady was considered too sexy for general exhibition?
Is it considered that the display of her attractions could be a corrupting influence on the "children who enter this seat of learning fresh from school, pure..."
Is the university becoming infiltrated with Kinsellaism?

We must interpolate from the following article that Sabrina visited Tasmania during March 1962. |

30 March 1962 - Western Herald (Bourke, NSW).
Tea For Sabrina
When Sabrina landed in Narromine on March 17th after the long journey from Hobart she was taken to the home of the Baths Appeal Chairman, Mr. Nevil Barlow, and Mrs. Barlow, for refreshments.
Every kind of refreshment was available — hard and soft, bubbling and still — but not the one Sabrina wanted most.
She asked for, and speedily received, a cup of tea.
Her final drink, before leaving Narromine six hours and £100 later, was more tea. |

8 April 1962 ( Telegraph ) - Sabrina leaves Australia - for the last time.
Bosomy blonde showgirl Sabrina stormed out of Sydney yesterday declaring
that she "never wants to see Australia again." Sabrina
left for San Francisco angry and broke.
"The plane ticket cost me my last cent," she said. I've
been out of work in Sydney for almost two months."

19 April 1962 - Daily Express - by Herbert Kretzmer (excerpt)
I SAW a small news item the other day about Sabrina, the almost forgotten English blonde with the bosom, and it occurred to me that British show business has really grown up quite a bit since her day. Sabrinas are no longer being manufactured because there is no longer an audience naive enough to accept them.
It was all very different a decade ago when you could become famous for doing nothing at all.
I recall a whole covey of pretty girls who were famous for being photographed at premieres of films they never appeared in...

20 July 1962 - Second visit to New Zealand .
THOUGH IT'S INEVITABLE that movie stars pose for publicity pictures wherever they go, England's Sabrina - complete with her well publicised 41-18-35 - did create quite a stir among the Maori natives of New Zealand recently when she arrived in Rotorua.
The Maori method of greeting involves the "hongi" or "touching of noses," so Sabrina touched noses. She examined the texture and construction of a "piupiu" but didn't quite go into raptures about the idea of modeling in one of these flax skirts. Nor did she compete with the Maori tribesmen in their traditional carving chores when visiting one of the local villages.
The Maori are Polynesians who came wandering across the open ocean to New Zealand's shores sometime about A.D. 1350. Though they displayed a disposition toward eating the early New Zealand settlers when those transplanted Englishmen first landed on these South Pacific shores, their eating habits have changed, Sabrina emerged unscathed, mink and all. - Press Gazette, Ohio
