New Wembley Show is a Lively Hit

Record Mirror, 25 July 1955

Thanks to Tim for sending this in!

SABRINA , the "dumb blonde" of television, has become a vaudeville top-liner.

Professionals have severely criticised this exploitation, say it isn't fair that such a big break should be given to so inexperienced an artiste. Whatever the professions say about it— they may be wrong, they may be right—the fact remains that Sabrina isn't so dumb as she looks on TV !

The gal's got brains —she's landed 20 weeks' solid booking at music-halls throughout the country. She made her variety debut at Chiswick Empire , last week, and the public verdict was: "Not at all bad.' Sabrina will improve — she means to make good.

Sabrina and The Three Deuces

She's appearing with the Three Deuces (above), a first-rate singing act and in several sketches. Picture below (by our Douglas John) was taken in her dressing-room at Chiswick Empire on opening night. Sabrina is reading one of the many messages of Good Luck sent to her.
