Miss Marie Carlson married Dr. Harold L. Melsheimer , Long Beach. Calif. The Rev. Mr. Westby officiated.

The bride wore white lace in ballerina length as she walked with her brother William S. Carlson. Her fingertip veil was secured to a pearl tiara and she carried white lilies.

Mrs. Robert Rasmussen, Sioux Falls, as attendant, wore turquoise crystalette in ballerina length and carried pink carnations. Patty and Pam Rasmussen were flower girls in dotted swiss.

E. Wesley Carlson, Chamberlain, was best man. Charles and Andreas Nielsen, Lake Norden, seated the guests. Mrs. Eugene Lommcn was at the organ and accompanied Roslyn Ameson, who sang.

A reception was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Sophus Thue. Assisted were Mesdames G. Schanck, A1 Brubakken, T. Nielsen, Larry Olson, Otto Kjellsen, E. W. Carlson, Dennis Pederson and William Carlson.

The bride, a Nettleton Commercial College graduate, has been employed by Firestone in Los Angeles. Her bridegroom, who received his degree in medicine from the University of Marburg in Germany is serving a one-year Internship at St. Mary's Long Beach Hospital, and in June will assume a residency in Honolulu, Hawaii in obstetrics and gynecology with Queen's Hospital.
