LONDON, Friday: Britain's most famous blondes, Diana Dors and Sabrina, hit the headlines today. The sudden return from Hollywood to London of Dennis Hamilton, Diana's husband, has sparked off lively newspaper speculation as to whether: - The flamboyant Dors "invasion" of Hollywood, which began a few months ago, is being called off. - There is discord between "The Swinging Dors" - as the actress and her husband have been labelled because of frequent contradictions in their publicity utterances. London newspapers today quoted Miss Dors as saying she was homesick and intended to be in England for Christmas. Model and TV actress Sabrina left a "Women of the Year" charity lunch in London - insulted. Sabrina had written out a speech, which made the point that whereas she was literally dumb on TV, in her private life she could speak fluently. When told it had not been intended that she should speak, Sabrina flounced out of the hotel and read her speech to a small audience, mostly reporters and hotel waiters, in an annexe. It began: "It is indeed an honor to be here today surrounded as I am by so many distinguished people." |
